What's been weighing on me....

"The reinvention process is messy!" I hear myself confirm this to my clients quite often.  When we are in a process of transformation, it sometimes feels uncomfortable and awkward.  Personally, I also feel HEAVY.  Recently I took myself costume shopping in a vintage clothing store for a play I'm rehearsing for, set in 1949.  I felt disappointed and disheartened when so many of the great dresses I picked out just didn't fit.  I noticed the ego voice in my head start to sound critical and shaming me for gaining weight.  I swear sometimes that voice is so loud! It's a cruel voice that makes me feel worthless and unlovable.

When it finally quieted down a bit, I wiped my tears, put on my imaginary parachute pack and took a deep dive into the center of my heart.  Landing softly inside, the perfect insights and wisdom were revealed to me.  Like so many other Awakening Angels on the planet currently, I am stumbling around...disoriented in this new paradigm.  My body feels HEAVY under the gravity of this imploding world.  I take responsibility for the choices I made that led me to experiencing this weight gain, and in order to change it, I need to own it.  From a place of deep humility, I call for Divine Intervention!  I am currently at my heaviest recorded weight, heavier even than my highest pregnancy weight...am I giving birth to something?

If I was again responsible for a new being on planet Earth right now,  that would indeed be a HEAVY responsibility.  What would be the single most important survival skill I'd want to teach?  SELF-LOVE THROUGH SERVICE ABOVE SELF. The February New Moon is in Aquarius and the theme of our Global Sisterhood New Moon Tele-circle will be Inspired Vision:  I serve the world with wisdom and love.

Every day, a little more Inspired Vision is being revealed to us all.  Vision is often abstract, unclear, difficult to interpret and resistant to conforming inside of actionable steps and plans...however, it's powerful energy dissipates back into Source when it is not directed into Inspired Action.  So, ultimately,  it is up to us to receive our Inspired Vision, interpret it to the best of our ability, and put it into Inspired Action in our lives.  That's it.  We are not responsible for the outcome of our work (that is God's business), but we are responsible for doing our work with integrity. The trick is to trust that our efforts have contributed to the greater good even when we don't see exactly how.

What's been weighing on me, and what I suspect has been weighing on many people in the world right now, is an oppressive HEAVY FEAR.  The fear inside my body is clutching desperately to the energy stored in my fat cells and seeking more, the way hoarders clutch to things and seek more, the way the 1% clutch the world's money and power and seek more, the way addicts clutch their drugs and seek more....  My HEAVY FEAR is what keeps me HEAVY.

Inspired Action (Action dancing with Inspired Vision) is the only antidote I've discovered that allows fear to slowly release it's heavy grip.  When I am in Inspired Action,  I become part of the solution.  All of the excess stored energy in my body is there for a reason, there's no accident.  The time is now to draw on those resources to fuel my Inspired Action.

I'm currently rehearsing for Agatha Christie's "A Murder is Announced" through Silver City Community Theatre.  I'm also production manager and rehearsing for an adaptation of Jesus Christ Superstar, an ecumenical project to be performed over Holy Week (Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter).  I'm producing an International Women's Day event to benefit El Refugio (our local domestic violence shelter), and a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre Fundraiser for the Rotary Foundation.  I'm partnering with Silver City Community Theatre to create an Actor Training Program in this community, something Inspired Vision shows me will bring life and joy to this little town.  If it be God's will, may it take root and blossom, and spread light upon the heaviness of our fearful world.

Creating a Nightly Ritual, by Madisyn Taylor

Bedtime can be a perfect time for a nighttime ritual of sending love to the world and finding gratitude for your day.

At the end of the day, as the sweet, dark stillness of night beckons us to lay down our bones and rest, we find ourselves at a clear transition point: Behind us lies the previous day and all that has come before; ahead of us, dawn heralds the unfolding of all that is yet to be. While many of us have morning rituals that connect us with our center and help us to set intentions, we may want to explore the magic and power of nighttime ritual as well. It holds for us a beautiful chance for self-appreciation and blessing. Before you go to bed each night, you can send gratitude, compassion, and healing to the being you have been up until this moment. And you can send lightness and love into the future for the one you are in the process of becoming.

Though simple, this action honors the journey you have taken thus far, while opening you to the wonderful possibilities still ahead. When you consciously engage with your own evolution this way, you may find that your sleep gets sweeter, filling your night with a deeper sense of trust and relaxation. As you rest, you can surrender to these peaceful hours, knowing that the road behind you has been seen and acknowledged with respect and kindness, while the path ahead now holds your own benevolence and well wishes.

This bedtime ritual empowers you as the only one who can determine the meaning of your own past and the hopefulness of your future. By setting this special time aside each night, you can begin to orient yourself on your path of growing. It allows you to let the past have its place, to trust that the future is taken care of, and to simply rest yourself in the graceful arms of the present moment.

When: 1:00 Meal followed by a Rainbow Heart workshop @ 1:30 pm.

Our friend from Grace United Methodist Church writes on facebook:

"Hate has broken into a church that I love.
Grace UMC has done nothing but love their community and profess “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors” - welcoming all to worship and fellowship there.
I am not looking for opinions on this one. I’ve made this post public so you can help spread the word. (Please, if you feel the need to share some of your opinions or rhetoric send it to me privately.)
I am looking for partners willing to show Grace UMC some love and support in the darkness of what has happened in the last two weeks.
Let’s help them fill every window with rainbow colored hearts with words of love and encouragement.
If you are willing, send rainbow colored paper hearts with your support to:
Grace UMC
c/o Pastor Sarah Beck

A Murder is Announced

by Agatha Christie

The Plot: An announcement in the local paper states the time and place when a murder is to occur in Miss Blacklock's Victorian house. The victim is not one of the house's several occupants, but an unexpected and unknown visitor. What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death, a determined Inspector grimly following the twists and turns, and Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution at some risk to herself in a dramatic confrontation just before the final curtain. (Samuel French).

Dates for A Murder is Announced
February 23, 24, 25
& March 2, 3, 4, 2018
